Look what you've started, Elizabeth! :) Ok, my turn to list out what is "normal" for me in a day. In thinking about this, I've realized it's all pretty much focused on Abby. Anyone surprised?? :) Like Kim, I think I'm going to have to use the list format. Here goes:

Changing diapers
Preparing bottles
Washing bottles
Feeding Abby
Singing songs (over, and over, and over again)
Doing laundry
Cooking dinner
Rocking Abby to sleep
Picking up around the house
Cleaning whatever I have time to get to

I'm a major multitasker, so some of these things are done simultaneously. :) Here's our girl today--8 weeks old!

Hmm... let me think about it... :)

Got it!

We have captured the smile on camera! There were too many cute pictures to choose from, so I just stuck them all in this slide show. Enjoy! :)

Little Chef

Apparently, I need to start hiding the camera before I take a nap (not that I get to nap often). Casey decided that he and Abby needed to make a cake for me (yay!) while I was asleep the other day. To document Abby's first cooking experience, these are the pictures he took:

Looks like someone is getting a little bit sleepy...

Yummm.... fudge topping!

I guess she got a little sleepy, so Casey gave her the ducky to use as a pillow. :)
My little girl is getting so big! She is now 7 weeks old, and growing by the day! We've had to move out of the 0-3 month sleepers because she's so long. I've already had to start packing a tub with the clothes she can't wear anymore. Some of the 3-6 month stuff still looks big on her because she's not too chubby, but we need it for her long torso and legs! She has also started smiling a lot more--so cute! I have yet to capture a good smile on camera, but I am determined. In the mean time, they're all for me! :) Here's my big girl, fresh and clean after her morning bath:

Moments with Abby

Abby woke up fairly happy one morning earlier this week, so I got a great shot of her "bed head." Everyone comments on the hair, and this is a perfect example of why. :)

We finally pulled out the Bumbo tonight to see how Abby would like it. She actually didn't mind sitting in it. Casey also used this opportunity to see how she would look with a remote and game controller "in her hands." :)

And this is a very cranky Abby falling asleep sitting up. She screamed and cried until she just didn't have anything left in her... so this is how she ended up:

That's right... she's asleep. It didn't last long, but it was entertaining while it lasted. She seems to have hit the point where she gets so tired she can't get to sleep, so she just fusses... A LOT. Hopefully, that won't last forever. Mommy and Daddy are getting a little frazzled from all of the screaming. On the up side, the girl has some serious lungs. I think we might have a soprano on our hands. :)

Sleepy girls

Apparently, this is what Casey found when he got home from work today:

Not the most flattering picture, but we were tired! :)

Dr. visit and Photo shoot

Abby got a great report at the pediatrician today: 9 lbs. 9 1/2 oz and 21 3/4 inches long! She is right at the 50th percentile in weight and height--practically perfect in every way. :) We discussed her continuing reflux issues, and the doctor decided to take her off the meds and try a different formula that will be thicker (i.e., harder to spit up). I'm going to get the new stuff tomorrow, so hopefully it will help. We go back in another month for her 2 month check-up and shots.

We also had our first "professional" photo shoot to get some nice pictures of Abby. Christy, a friend of ours from Harding, is trying to build up her photography portfolio and offered to take some shots for us for free! She did a wonderful job, and I'm excited to order prints soon. Here are a few of my favorites:

One month old!

My little girl is getting bigger every day! This past Thursday was the "one month" mark. I've been trying to get pictures as often as I can (I apologize to anyone who is sick of it), and I think this has turned into the Abby Blog. :) This past week was fairly uneventful. Abby and I ventured out of the house a couple of times, Casey worked all week... nothing big to report.

I take Abby to the pediatrician tomorrow for her one month check-up. My main concern for this visit is her weight and length, and I think we might need to try a different medicine for the reflux. She has gotten a little bit better, but she still has quite a bit of pain and is still spitting up a lot of what she eats. Hopefully, we'll have more (better) answers after our visit tomorrow.

In closing.... more pictures! :) Lindsey and Sara got Abby a play gym while they were here last weekend, and I snapped a few shots of Abby enjoying it. She's grown so much!
