I had Casey take another couple of pictures of the ever expanding belly since we're at the 28 week mark:
Today, Abby spent the majority of her time stretching in every way she possibly could to make sure there is plenty of room for her to grow over the next few weeks. OUCH! We also had a check up with the doctor, and everything is going well except.... I didn't pass the glucose screening. Now I have to go back in a week and suffer through the 3 hour glucose test for gestational diabetes. Yuck! Hopefully, I can improve my diet and exercise habits between now and then so I'll pass the test with flying colors. I've also gained a little too much weight (or so the doctor says... he's not the one feeding 2 people!), so the diet/exercise changes should help with that, too.
The other important development from today's appointment was scheduling the c-section! If all goes according to plan, Abby will be arriving on August 4th! That's about a week and a half before her due date because they don't want me going into labor, so she'll be here a little sooner than anticipated! I can't believe how quickly it's all going. I know Casey's not sure how much longer he can survive living in this "freezing cold" house, but it's getting hot here!!! How on earth am I going to make it through the next couple of months without melting into a puddle?? I think it's time we got a pool... :)

Oh, you look so cute. Can't wait to see you at the reunion. Hey -- you'll just be about a week away from delivery at that time! Can't wait to meet little Abby.
August 4th --- that is soooo exciting!!!! You get her a little early!! :) It is crazy how fast it is going huh.
You look great...love the recent pics. I hope you pass with flying colours...and me too!!!!
I think a pool is a great idea - you could get one of those fun plastic wading things for the back yard. Wouldn't that bring back some great memories? :)
Too much weight? Whatever. As long as you're healthy and Abby is healthy, who cares? That stinks about your GD test. I have mine on Monday. Hope your second one goes well! Though, I've heard that women who do end up with GD do a lot better after the baby is born dropping their weight since they've already been in the habit of eating right. Anyway, good luck!
Oh, and I'm really jealous that you don't have to be pregnant beyond Aug 4. ;)
August 4! How wonderful that you already know the date! There should be some perks to a C-section, right?
Stay cool!
You are so adorable as a pregnant mommy!! So, will you be waddling in at the reunion at the end of July? Glad you don't have to travel too far.
