Comfort

There have been several things I have found that are soothing/comforting to me:

  1. An amazing husband who is very generous with hugs and who randomly buys a dozen glazed donuts because he remembers I was craving them a few days ago
  2. Finally cleaning a disgusting house--the satisfaction of accomplishing something that's been on your mind for a while is very fulfilling.
  3. Making (and eating) chili on a cold, rainy day
  4. The smell of freshly brewed coffee
  5. Emails/phone calls from friends who live far away
  6. Chocolate chip cookies
  7. Pictures of my family
  8. Praying to a God who is always there to listen
I am aware that nearly half of those were about food, but I think I come by it honestly. :)

What comforts you?

Oh, I think many different foods are on my comfort list. It's also soothing to sit on the couch and read a book while it's raining gently outside -- and if it's cold outside too, a fire in the fireplace. Nice!

We had a fire in the fireplace last night - it was very comforting after a long day! And on my dresser is a picture of you & Tara in your Easter dresses when you were about 4 & 2 years old, respectively. I love that picture! Kudos to Casey for the donuts. :)

Food cravings, huh...

Sounds suspicious...

I know I'm going to get strange looks for the school I'm choosing-- it's called Touching America and it's in LR. A friend went there and, from what I've researched, with good reason. It looks like my best option! I'm so excited! And yes, I will be practicing on friends... ;)
